n London eye gets top slot in attraction pollThe London Eye is the number-one attraction in the UK, according to figures from Crystal Premier Britain. The Millennium Dome is in second place while Legoland came third. The new adult attraction, the wine centre Vinopolis, made it into the top 10. Others in the chart include Madame Tussaud’s (fourth), Alton Tower (fifth), Cadbury World (sixth) and Thorpe Park (seventh).
n grosvenor adds royal club floors
Le Meridien Grosvenor House in London has opened two new additional Le Royal Club floors, giving the five-star property three dedicated executive floors business travellers. A total of £4m has been spent on the two new floors.
n scotairways adds edinburgh flights
Scotairways has added an additional evening flight between London City Airport and Edinburgh, bringing the number of return flights it operates on the route up to seven per weekday. British European also operates flights between the Docklands airport and Edinburgh.
