Operator to consider ‘For Less’ branding
The ‘for less’ tag could become a new brand name for Airtours following the success of its Aspro Holidays For Less brochure. The brand name appeared on the Aspro Holidays programme in April and sales, marketing and development director Ed Sims said it has been one of the biggest sellers of the first-edition brochures.
“The brochure is targeted at lower-income families in their late 20s and early 30s and this could be a sign to us that we have been ignoring this sector of the market,” he said.
“It is possible that in the future we could use the ‘for less’ branding for other programmes.”
The second-edition brochure, which is popular with retailers in the northwest, has been redesigned to carry the Holidays for Less branding on each page and to make it look more like popular women’s magazines such as Bella and Take a Break.
Lead-in price on the programme is £99 per person for seven nights’ self-catering at the Safari Apartments in Costa Brava.
Sims said Airtours could discuss finance schemes to help agents make the programme even more affordable.
