Sports Resorts dropped after lack of interest
THOMSON has axed its dedicated Sports Resorts brochure after poor sales of the product.Only four of the original12 properties have beenkept under the Sports Resorts branding and are now included in the main Summer Sun brochure.
Group brand manager Richard Nealon said: “The product did not warrant a stand-alone brochure.”
While all the featured properties had sports facilities, not all were specialists, he said.
“They were more all round hotels which will have general appeal,” said Nealon.
The four hotels remaining are the Fiesta Beach Club in Ibiza, Club Hotel San Luis and Los Naranjos Apartments in Minorca and Hotel Phaethon Beach Club in Cyprus.
