Neilson argues for distinctions on ABTA logo
ABTA should have two versions of its membership logo to make it clear to the public who is an independent consultant and who is owned by a parent firm, according to an independent operator.Leisure Estates International chairman John Neilson claims a system similar to the one used for financial services should be introduced where advisors have to declare if they are tied to a company and are given a different logo.
Neilson argues with the range of mediums for selling holidays, there needs to be a simple message for consumers.
ABTA’s head of legal services Riccardo Nardi, said: “The whole point of ABTA is we have members small and large. If we changed it, we’d fragment the logo and water down the impact of a single image. Where do you draw the line?”
