Winner invited to ABTA event
THEWINNERof the 2000 Discovery Agent of the Year competition will now get a free trip to ABTA’s convention the following year.Sharon Morley, who won last year’s World Travel Market competition, has been offered a free trip to Kos this year with flights and accommodation paid for by sponsors. ABTAwill waive the registration fee.
This year’s successful applicant will be offered a place at the 2001 convention in Lisbon.
WTM exhibition director Fiona Jeffery said: “It’s a chance in a million for the winner to get to know about the industry and what makes it tick.”
Applicants for the competition, which is to find an agent who gives outstanding customer service, will be reduced to six by the start of October.
The official presentation of the award and £1,000 cash prize will take place at WTM on November 16.
