Open Roads offers free listing to travel firms
ANEW Web site aimed at independent travellers is offering advertising space to travel companies.Open Roads has a database covering operators, accommodation and attractions in the UK and is planning to add sections on the US and France.
Companies can opt for a free basic listing or pay an annual fee for more page space and a direct link to their on-line booking service. Subscription rates will vary according to space required.
Open Roads said the concept was aimed at subscribers who preferred not to pay a commission on every booking. It also believes driving clients to a company’s on-line reservation service will remove the need for administration. The company was founded by coach industry veteran Len Wright.
