Ebookers.com has announced a raft of changes at seniormanagement level, led by the promotion of chief financial officer SanjivTalwar to the newlycreated position ofmanaging director. He will be replaced by director of corporate finance andbusiness development Navneet Bali. It is believed that chief informationofficer Andrew Weir will leave at the end of next month, although thecompany refuses tocomment.

n costa cruises orders £30m ship for 2003
Costa Cruises has ordered an 86,000-ton sister ship to Costa Atlantica, which was launched last month in Venice. The as yet unnamed 2,154-passenger ship will cost an estimated $350 million and beginservice in the summer of 2003. Itineraries have not yet been decided but the ship is expected tofollow Costa’s pattern of carrying out European cruises in the spring and summer and Caribbean sailings in the autumn and winter.
