Sri Lanka warning
The Foreign Office has warned visitors to Sri Lanka there may be violence in the run-up to and immediately following a parliamentary election on October 10.It advises tourists to avoid crowded public areas and political gatherings and adds there is a possibility of curfews being called at short notice.
