Travelscene reports booming business for this year’s short-breaks programme. A growth of 8.5% in bookings for Marrakesh has taken it into the company’s top 50 worldwide destinations. A sample short-break package includes a four-night stay with two nights at the Hotel Oudaya in Marrakesh and two nights at the Hotel Sheraton in Fez. Prices lead in at £461 per person.

Bales Worldwide has introduced Morocco to its 2001 Inspirational Journeys programme. A sample itinerary is the 12-day escorted Journey Through Morocco which focuses on the country’s imperial cities, natural landscape and secluded oases. Prices lead in at £1,499 per person.
n morocco withdrawn from cox and kings
Cox and Kings has withdrawn Morocco from its 2001 brochure. Product manager Hugh Fraser said this was because it felt the country could not offer the quality of accommodation which its clients expect.
