Travel Renaissance boosts worldwide options

RIVERcruise specialist Travel Renaissance has widened its product range in an attempt to position itself as a worldwide operator and stimulate repeat business.

The company has traditionally operated on the main European rivers, but it has also introduced product in Australia, Russia and Egypt in its latest brochure, Worldwide River and Coastal Cruise Collection.

Managing director Graham Clubb said: “The reason we are expanding our product range is so that people can cross-buy between products – they can go on one cruise, and then another. We have a repeat passenger rate of 25% but we would be very happy to get that up to 30% or 35%.”

Travel Renaissance wants to approach the trade as a four-star plus operator that offers cruising holidays on all the major rivers of the world, according to Clubb.

Travel Renaissance was formerly called KD River Cruises but he said it had changed its name at the end of last year to reflect the wider range of product it now features.

It still acts as the UK general sales agent for KD but it also features product from companies, including Venice Simplon-Orient-Express,Viking River Cruises and Norwegian Coastal Voyages.

A 15-day holiday in Australia, including a five-night cruise on a paddle steamer along the Murray River and visits to Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef, starts from £2,765 per person.

A nine-day combined river and coastal trip taking in the Rhone, the French Riviera and the Italian Riviera starts from £2,195 per person.
