NCL to charge ‘no show’ fee for training course absentees

Norwegian Cruise Line is charging a £15 ‘no show’ fee to agents who put their names down for its Cruise Academy training programme but fail to turn up.

National sales manager Nick Sharps said:”A couple of years ago we had quite a problem with people who signed up to the scheme but did not come.

“Last year we decided to do something about it and charged a £10 ‘no show’ fee. This cut the number of ‘no shows’ drastically.”

NCLwill start its training programme, the Seventh Annual Cruise Academy, at the Jarvis International in Crawley on September 26 with information on new destinations for 2001/2. Sixteen seminars will run throughout September and October around the country covering details of the product. To reserve a place phone 01484 345014.
