Ryanair challenges rivals with cut-price seat deal

RYANAIR has issued a challenge to rival low-cost airlines to match its latest seat sale. The Irish carrier is offering 1m seats from £24.99 return until February 17.

Sales and marketing director Tim Jeans claimed Ryanair was able to offer 70% off seats at the two lowest prices, unlike other airlines which he said were conning passengers with promises of cheap deals.

The carrier’s £24.99 offer is valid from Stansted to Glasgow Prestwick and Dublin.

Other Stansted deals include £29.99 return to Frankfurt, Cork, Lyons, Dinard and Derry; £39.99 to Genoa, Rimini, Turin, Aarhus, Biarritz, Carcassonne, Stockholm, Malmo, Kerry and Knock; £49.99 to Pisa, Venice and Ancona; and £59.99 to Oslo.

Bookings are through agents, direct and www.ryanair.com. Travel is up to April 12. Flights operate every day except Fridays and Sundays.
