Inntel on-line booking system
HOTEL-booking specialist Inntel has developed an on-line reservation service for its corporate clients.
The system, named Inntel e-book, offers a database of 10,000 UK hotels. Inntel has secured room rates deals with 2,500-3,000. Managing director Helen Pinder said it was not using a global distribution system supplier to provide its hotel database, as it wanted to include small hotels, guesthouses and bed and breakfasts that could not afford to subscribe to a GDS.
The booking system is free but Inntel will charge a fee for a more advanced service. The rest of its income will come from hotel commissions.
