United Vacations introduces Alaska packages for 2001
UNITEDVacations has introduced Alaska packages to its holiday programme for the first time.
The company’s newly published 2001 brochure includes a 14-day flydrive holiday in Alaska starting from £1,139 for a pre-planned tour and £579 for flights and car hire. One-day jetboat trips and bear-viewing tours are also available.
UK manager Alison Espley said: “The reason we are introducing Alaska is the increasing interest in outdoor and soft-adventure holidays.
“This fits in exactly with what United Vacations customers are looking for.”
The operator is also adding the option of buying Amtrak rail passes across a choice of six regions – national, east, far west, northeast, west, and east or west coastal.
The passes, which are valid for 15 or 30 days, start from£121.A seven-night city tour by rail, visiting Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, starts from £524 including accommodation and sightseeing tours.
