* kuoni introduces dive safaris
Kuoni is launching its 2000/01 dedicated dive brochure this week featuring multi-centre dive safaris. These include: the South Andaman Safari from Phuket, Thailand; the Reef and Rainforest Tour in Borneo; and the Bali Triangle. Also included are new liveaboard safaris in Australia and increased product in the dive resort of Manado, North Sulawesi in the Pacific Ocean. Thenine-night Reef and Rainforest Tour leads in at £1,567.
* goldenjoy adds sharm el sheikh flight
Goldenjoy Holidays is launching a service from Manchester to Sharm El Sheikh on Sabre Airways. The flights will commence on October 19 and fly on Thursdays for the winter season. The operator has also added a dedicated Red Sea liveaboard which will feature from next February. The Tiger Lilly has been purpose built with full diver facilities.
* jamaican resort receives padi accolade
Breezes Golf and Beach Resort on Jamaica has just received the Professional Association of Diving Instructors’ Gold Palm Resort Classification, gaining membership status within PADI’s International Resort Association. The Gold Palm is the highest award PADI gives and was awarded due to dive sites and instruction on offer.
* cosmos starts maldives cruise
Cosmos has introduced a Maldives island-hopping Cruise to its second-edition Tropical Paradise brochure. The seven-night cruise takes in various Maldivian atolls and a scuba tour around the coral reefs of Embudhu island. The price of £934 includes all flights, accommodation, meals and an introductory dive.
* cyplon Holidays offers cyprus packages
Cyplon Holidays is offering diving packages to Cyprus, as part of its winter 2000/01 brochure. It is offering a seven-day diving package for £570 per person including bed and breakfast, flights, taxes and transfers. Free car hire is offered with all holidays booked for travel between November 1 and December 19 this year and January 6 and March 19 next year.
