Shearings adds Russia and Romania
SHEARINGS has added Romania and Russia to its 2001 European programme to meet demand for more adventurous holidays.
Croatia has also been reintroduced after being dropped during the crisis in the Balkans.
Marketing manager Helen Robinson said: “We are seeing a trend towards more adventurous destinations with eastern Europe in particular performing well.”
She added that more customers are prepared to fly to destinations to start their tour rather than board a coach in the UK.
Stansted has been added as a departure airport, taking the number to 17.
New tours include an eight-day round trip from Helsinki to St Petersburg, while Corfu and Tuscany are also featured for the first time.
In the UK, an expanded range of tours to coastal resorts is available.
Prices start at £99 for a five- day break at the Valley of Rocks Hotel in Lynton, north Devon departing on January 29.
Meanwhile, Shearings new logo will appear on brochures for the first time.
It will also be rolled out to all 38 Shearings-owned hotels over the next few weeks.
