Ryanair to consider commission payments on Web bookings

RYANAIR is to look at plans to pay travel agents commission when they make bookings over the Internet.

The low cost carrier may develop a link for agents on its Web site, www.ryanair.com, and is thinking about offering commission as an incentive.

Agents wishing to sell Ryanair tickets were forced to make bookings through global distribution system suppliers Sabre, Worldspan and Amadeus when the airline cut its ties with Galileo earlier in the year.
