Swan Hellenic sees bookings rise

SWAN Hellenic has seen a 40% increase in bookings this year from agents who are members of its Swan Select loyalty club.

Sales director Carolanne Dieleman attributed the growth to an enhanced training programme, but added that it has been a very good year for Swan Hellenic overall, with bookings through all independent retailers up 25%.

The cruiseline has 28 Swan Select members, both independents and miniples, who are rewarded for their loyalty with higher commission, overrides and first refusal for training, fam trips and ship visits.

They also have first access to special offers as well as exclusive promotions, while those in the higher of the three membership tiers also receive marketing funds for promotions. “To become a member, we look at an agent’s revenue but also their enthusiasm,” said Dieleman.

“If agents have ideas for advertising and promotions, we are keen to work with them.”

Dieleman added that the company is keen to build on the success of a major educational for 160 agents at Southampton in August when agents had the chance to spend a day on board Minerva between sailings.

&#42 Swan Hellenic has organised a fam trip on Minerva from December 13-20.

The cruise, which will take around 20 Swan Select and independent retailers, willstart in Dubai and visit Fujairah, Muscat and Bombay.
