British Mediterranean adds to winter schedule
British Mediterranean adds to winter schedule
BRITISH Mediterranean Airways has launched its 2000/2001 winter schedule which includes new routes to Luxor in Egypt and Iran’s capital, Tehran (Travel Weekly May 29).
The additional routes brings the number of destinations served by the BA franchise partner from seven to 11 and includes expanded services to the Azerbaijani capital Baku and the Armenian capital Yerevan.
The Heathrow to Luxor route will be a once-weekly extension to the airline’s Alexandria service, which offers passengers two non-stop flights per week. Luxor services will depart Heathrow on Sundays, with return flights on Mondays to coincide with cruise-boat sailings.
The airline’s Heathrow to Tehran service replaces BA’s flights to Tehran and will continue as a thrice-weekly service and operate via Baku with outbound flights on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and return flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Both new routes start on October 29.
