&#42 jmc signs car park deal with bcp

JMC has signed a deal with airport car-park providers BCP allowing passengers to pre-book their parking at special rates. It is available at 14 UK airports and Dover seaport from November 1. Agents can earn commission on the parking via the LTS booking system.

Bass is looking to invest in its hotel division because it is the sector that has the best potential for long-term growth. Its third quarter results to September 30 saw growth in itsInter-Continental brand with revenue per available room increasing by 5.3%. The European market has shown particularly good growth, supported by the UK, which has improved. Revenue per room is up 9% for Holiday Inn and 4.3% for Crowne Plaza.

The Tunisian National Tourist Office has appointed a new director. Neji Ben Othman replaces Houssem Ben Azouz who after four years in the post is leaving to become the director of Carthage Golf Club in Tunisia. Ben Othman previously worked as director of the TNTO in Canada.

&#42 turkey sees increase in UK visitor numbers

The number of UK visitors to Turkey in July hit 144,008, a 25% increase on the same period last year, according to figures from the Turkish Ministry for Tourism.

&#42 hoverspeed adds catamarans to fleet

Hoverspeed is adding a new fleet of catamarans today to its cross-Channel services. Two 74 metre catamarans taking up to 600 people and 90 vehicles will cut 45 minutes off the Dover to Calais crossing. Two 81 metre catamarans will cut the Dover to Ostend journey from four hours to two.
