CAA moves to recall bond as Dolunay Holidays goes under

TURKEY and northern Cyprus specialist Dolunay Holidays is one of two operators to cease trading leaving a combined total of 190 cancelled bookings.

The Gloucester-based operator, which had 100 customers overseas and had taken 180 forward bookings, has had its £78,000 bond recalled by the Civil Aviation Authority.

All future flights have been cancelled and holidaymakers now have to claim a refund from the CAA.

Its collapse comes just a month after managing director Clare Stone said there was a limit to how many times clients would travel to the same destination.

Meanwhile, Grenadier Safaris Limited of Colchester, Essex, which arranged tours in Africa and package holidays to the Indian Ocean islands has also folded.

The operator also had its bond – worth £58,000 – called in by the CAA.
