Israel violence forces further cancellations

MOUNTINGviolence in Israel has forced tour operators to cancel additional holidays.

Holy Land specialist Peltours is offering refunds until Friday but marketing manager Darren Panto said the date may be extended.

Meanwhile, Peltours-owned Pullman managing director Simon Blutstein said:”We have cancelled all the package holidays this month and are now looking at November.

“We are, however, still providing seats for people travelling to and from Tel Aviv because it is the Jewish holidays at the moment. We are still flying out to Eilat.”

Longwood managing director Rafi Caplin said he is praying for peace and until last Thursday morning still had people travelling to Israel.

As Travel Weekly went to press, Israel had launched attacks on the Palestinian towns of Ramallah and Gaza City.
