Strike action forces Aer Lingus to cancel flights

Report by John Lavabre

SEVERE disruption has been caused to Aer Lingus operations today
following industrial action by the trade union IMPACT.

A spokesman for the airline said “around 200” flights have
been cancelled.

Flights operated by Aer Lingus’ codeshare partners will still
go ahead.

The strike is expected to last one day. However, as a knock
on effect of the action some services could be affected tomorrow.
