Aer Lingus prepared for strike action

Report by John Lavabre

AER LINGUS has prepared contingency plans in the event of a
possible strike by clerical staff this Friday.

The Irish airline is preparing to cancel some flights and
re-schedule others in case the workers carry out their threat to strike because
of a pay dispute.

If the strike goes ahead, Aer Lingus hopes 80% of operations
will go ahead as normal.
