* four seasons prague to open next year
Four Seasons will open the 157-room Four Seasons Prague in the Czech capital’s Old Town early next year. The hotel will include 12 suites. The chain is also due to open a £56 million hotel by the Danube in Budapest in 2002.
* lot polish airlines starts warsaw service
LOT Polish Airlines launches a Gatwick-Warsaw service on October 30, flying daily except Sunday. LOT also serves the Polish capital daily from Heathrow and six times weekly from Manchester.
* third property for schlossle group
The Schlossle Hotel Group recently opened its third property in the Latvian capital of Riga. The Grand Palace Hotel, with room rates from $125 a night, joins the group’s properties in Tallinn and St Petersburg.
* danube travel adds to coach tour options
Danube Travel is to introduce seven-night coach tours of Austria and Poland next year following the success of this year’s new Picturesque Hungary tour. Prices are not yet available.
* le meridien opens hotel in budapest
The £30 million Le Meridien Budapest is due to open in Elizabeth Square, on the Pest side of the Danube. The hotel, a former insurance company headquarters, offers 192 rooms and 26 suites.
* shearings starts danube cruise for 2001
Shearings is to add a 10-day Danube cruise between Passau in Germany and Kalocsa in Hungary for next year. The price, including return flights to Vienna and two nights in the Austrian capital, starts at £879.
