Tobin takes top adventure travel role at Holidaybreak
HOLIDAYBREAK has appointed Keycamp managing director Simon Tobin as the new MD of its adventure travel division.
He will take up the position in January after 10 years with the camping specialist.
“Adventure holidays is a sector where there is potential for significant growth,” said Tobin. “We hope to build on these consumer trends.”
Holidaybreak formed its adventure travel division in February following the £30 million acquisition of Aldershot-based Explore Worldwide.
Regal Diving Holidays also joined the division after being acquired in the summer. Further deals are expected.
Tobin, who will join Holidaybreak’s board, will be based in Aldershot and replaces Explore managing director and co-founder Travers Cox who will stand down in the new year. He will remain in a consultancy role for the operator.
Keycamp marketing director John Baines will take over from Tobin as MD.
Explore has also appointed Joanna Field to the new position of marketing director.
