Asiaworld’s major relaunch targets Far Eastern potential
Far East specialist Asiaworld hasrelaunched with a new brochure, management team and offices.
The company has scaled back several destinations, including the South Pacific, to concentrate on the Far East.
The latest brochure features information on each destination, including geography, culture, customs and nightlife.
Director and general manager Paul Tilling said: “The aim is to provide comprehensive and consistent information to help agents get the sale.”
Tilling, who joined the company last November from Premier Holidays, said Asiaworld had lost its direction in recent years.
The company started 11 years ago as a Far East specialist but changed its name to World Dreams, offering alternative destinations. The return to the original name and products sees the firm going back to its roots, Tilling said.
In 2001 Asiaworld expects to attract 5,000 passengers to destinations including Thailand, Indochina, Singapore, Malaysia, Borneo, Bali, the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Dubai.
Customers can chose between single and multi-centre holidays or can tailor-make their break.
Since he joined Tilling has seen the company relocate from Woking, Surrey, to St Albans, Hertfordshire, while staff numbers have risen from six to 17.
Future plans include the opening of a business-travel agency on November 4, called Westminster Travel, although Tilling wants to diversify further.
