Sofitel opens Paris property
ACCOR subsidiary Sofitel Hotels and Resorts has opened its third four-star hotel in the La Defence district of Paris.
The 384-room Sofitel Paris La Defense Grand Arche, which took 21 months and cost £65.5 million to build, aims to meet strong demand from business travellers. Facilities include 14 meeting rooms, an auditorium and fitness centre plus a banqueting suite with room for 180 guests. Prices start from £160 for an executive double room.
An Accor spokesman said: “The new hotel adds much needed four-star accommodation catering to demand from international business clientele. It is part of Accor’s strategy to pursue vigorous development for Sofitel Hotels and Resorts.”
