Accorsubsidiary Ibis has opened a 126-room hotel in Manchester with a second hotel opening in Liverpool at the beginning of December. Prices at the Ibis Manchester UMIST and the 127-room Ibis Liverpool both start at £42 per room with continental buffet breakfast at £3.95 per person.

Travelodge has opened its first hotel in the City of London, bringing its total number of properties to 200. It has 142 rooms with 14 family rooms and 128 with en-suite showers. It also has a breakfast bar café and Evening Bar. Prices are £79.95 per room mid-week and £69.95 at weekends.
