Nightingale pulls out of Kos event
Newsreader Alastair Stewart was drafted in at the last minute to host the ABTAconvention after Wish You Were Here presenter Mary Nightingale pulled out due to a sudden illness.
Stewart, who also fronts ITV’s Police, Camera, Action, has moderated at the last two ABTAconferences in Marbella and in Cairns.
An ABTAspokesman said Nightingale was asked to host this year’s convention in Kos because the association felt it was time for a change.
He added:”Nightingale was taken ill at short notice. But we have been very lucky to have used Stewart before.
“He knows a lot about the industry and he is seen as one of the best moderators.”
