JAPAN Airlines saw a 504.8% rise in net income to £245.5
million for the six months between April 1 2000 and September 30.
Highlights of the airlines half yearly results show:
* Operating expenses rose by 3.4% to £3.8 billion, despite a
26% rise in fuel costs
* Unconsolidated
operating revenues rose to £4.1 billion, an increase of 7.7%
* JAL’s ordinary income increased by 121.5% to £294.6
million
* Tourist traffic increased 9%
* Business traffic increased 10%
