Star Alliance offers air pass

STAR Alliance has introduced an air pass especially for overseas travellers exploring Europe.

The pass allows travellers to choose how many miles they intend to travel, buy a bookof coupons covering the distance, and then travel wherever they want.

Star Alliance vice-president of sales Richard Merkatz said:”The air pass offers an excellent opportunity for visitors from other parts of the world to travel within Europe, at fares that won’t break their budget.”

The number of flight coupons making up an air pass is between three and 10 and the fare per coupon is related to distance.

For example the fare will be $60 for distances up to 150 miles and $115 for 501-1,000 miles travelled. The fares, however, do not include local taxes, fees and charges.

All Star Alliance airlines are taking part in the project.
