Multiples unite against rising crime

Report by Jane Archer

THE big four multiples are working together to find ways to
tighten security after some £7,000 in sterling and foreign currency was stolen
from a Travel Choice branch in Sevenoaks, Kent, last month.

Travel Choice managing director Gerry Reilly said his
company, Going Places, Lunn Poly and Thomas Cook are discussing the problem of
rising crime.

“We are working closely with the police, other multiple
travel agencies and the local authorities to combat this activity,” he said.

The Sevenoaks robbery was the third attack on a Travel
Choice branch in recent weeks.
