THOMSON has cut the bottom tier of its preferred agent
scheme in a move which will see hundreds of agents barred from participating in
its discount campaign.
It is a major blow for many independents who were previously
classed as preferred agents under tier three of the scheme and able to compete
with the multiples.
Among those dumped from the scheme and stripped of discounts
are 300 ARTAC Worldchoice agents.
Thomson confirmed the move and said it still had a good
relationship with independent agents.
