EUROPCAR has appointed former Avis regional manager
Hugh Cole as its new UK operations director.
He will be responsible for running the Europcar fleet
network in the face of narrowing profit margins in the car rental market, as
well as the implementation of more consistent standards and service across the
company’s UK operation.
“As the car rental market becomes more and more
competitive, quality of service is increasingly important,” he said. “I am
looking forward to building on Europcar’s reputation in this area.”
Cole replaces Steve Maltby, who resigned late last
year after 12 months in the job to join vehicle transport, storage and refurbishment
specialists Eurofleet as European operations director.
