COSMOS sales and marketing director Paul Riches and group
purchasing director Kieran Tobin are to leave their current positions following
a senior management restructure.
They will remain in place during a transitional period and
will review other options within the group companies.
Commercial director Stuart Jackson takes on the additional
role of marketing and product, former product director Danny Talbot becomes
overseas director with responsibility for all overseas purchasing and
operations and customer delivery director Andy Claridge changes role to become sales
and UK operations director.
Cosmos Managing director Nigel Wright said while its market
share has risen from 3.5% to 5% he needed to streamline management. “We need to focus our efforts on maintaining steady
growth in our core business.”
Wright admitted post Christmas trading was disappointing but
added other operators had also suffered a downturn.
