ABTA pursues quest for rail compensation

Report by Louise Longman

ABTA will continue to demand compensation for agents who
have lost business in the rail crisis despite claims by the Association of
Train Operating Companies that the issue is now closed.

ATOC said issuing agents with compensation is difficult and
will instead offer rail-appointed agents the chance to double their commission.

For a four-week period, from March 4-31, commission will
increase from 9% to 18% for all rail travel.
