Rosenbluth to use Pegasus’ commission processing system

ROSENBLUTH International has outsourced the collection of its hotel commission payments to Pegasus Systems.

The agreement will allow Rosenbluth, which operates in 27 countries and deals in over $4bn travel sales a year, to collect its commission payments on the same day every month.

Under the agreement, Pegasus will roll out its travel agency product, called Electronic Reconciliation and Ticketing, to Rosenbluth’s worldwide offices. This is the travel industry’s first and only end-to-end hotel commission processing, tracking and reporting solution.

Pegasus will also process hotel commissions for Rosenbluth’s new on-line business travel agency, Rosenbluth Interactive, formed when the company acquired Biztravel.com in August.

Rosenbluth director for financial services Ross Senholzi said the deal with Pegasus is part of a wider strategy to become the travel agency industry’s world leader in technological solutions.

“We are continually diversifying our service to corporate clients so we can provide large and small businesses with the highest standard of customer service,” he said. “Collecting commission payments is a process which is very labour intensive. It also allows us to provide our corporate customers with enhanced data reporting, making our travel management services even more valuable to our customers.”

Pegasus set up its commission processing service in 1992 and it is currently used by 83,000 travel agencies around the world.
