Corporateon-line club launched

CORPORATE travellers will be able to keep in touch wherever they are in the world following the launch of an on-line club for business people.

Biztravelclub.com is a worldwide service for people who want to make new contacts, find buyers or suppliers, or meet other members.

Benefits include an on-line members’ club lounge which carries business travel news and celebrity travellers’ tips, access to free subway maps, language courses, world clock and world weather reports, car-rental discount vouchers and links to tourist board Web sites.

It was set up by former international insurance broker William Westley Richards, who used to travel frequently.

“I was fed up spending too many evenings dining alone and realised there was a need for a communication vehicle between travellers,” he said.

“It can provide an overview of who is doing what and where within the industry and allow users to identify new business and new suppliers.”

Users pay £50 for annual membership to the club, but Richards is offering two years’ free membership to the first 10,000 visitors who register on the site.
