Budget has been named best car-rental company by a German travel magazine in a survey of 11,000 readers. The award comes just 17 months after Budget started corporate operations in Germany.
* europcar starts restructure strategy
Europcar has started a three-year restructure in the UK under new general manager Paul Fleming. The move aims to push British business back into the black and help the company to achieve its objective of becoming number onecar-rental company in Europe and number three worldwide. The strategy also calls for a greater emphasis on service and loyalty programmes for clients, but the company warns there will be price rises as well.
