&#42 festival’s latest ship to be used for G8 summit

FestivalCruises new ship European Vision will be transformed into a floating hotel between 20-22 July for this year’s G8 summit in Genoa. European Vision is due for launch in June and is currently being constructed at French shipyard Chantiers de L’Atlantique.

&#42 mSC reduces fares on easter transatlantic trip

Mediterranean Shipping Cruises has reduced the price of its transatlantic Easter cruise from £2,219 to £899 per person. The 17-night cruise aboard the Melody departs from Port Everglades in Florida on April 11 and calls at San Juan, Puerto Rico, St Croix, Antigua, Guadaloupe, Funchal, Cadiz, Barcelona and Genoa. &#42 brittany ferries names new ship mont st michel

Brittany Ferries’ new ship to operate the Portsmouth to Caen route will be called the Mont St Michel. The 36,000-ton ship has been purpose built for service on the English Channel and will have capacity for 2,200 passengers, 880 cars or 132 lorries.
