Malaysian chain eyes international market
A Malaysia-based hotel chain launches this month with plans to expand to the international market.
Mutiara Hotels and Resorts has been created by Pernas Hotel Management, which owns 11 properties in Asia. These include properties which come under the Hilton brand in Kuala Lumpur and Kuching.
The Hilton Kuala Lumpur has already been rebranded as the Mutiara Kuala Lumpur and another five Pernas-owned properties will also take on the Mutiara name.
The new brand will be launched through a strategic regional and international media and marketing campaign and will be backed up with a series of upgrades and renovations.
The group plans to add hotels outside of Asia and is also planning to launch a range of products, including the Mutiara Club Floor, Kids’ Suite and Kids’ Club.
