The latest industry appointments

&#42 On-line specialist travel company IfYouTravel is expanding its executive team with the appointment of Amanda Parker as European commercial manager. Parker will be responsible for advertising sales to the equipment market for IfYouTravel’s specialist sites.

&#42 Tourism Victoria has recruited Claire Golding to the position of regional manager UK, Ireland and Scandinavia. Golding starts at the company on May 7, and will replace Valerie Arends, who is retiring.

&#42 Karla Earp has been appointed as product manager for Panorama and Manos Holidays. Earp joins the Brighton-based company from Cosmos Holidays.

&#42 Sol Meliá has appointed Elmar Wirtenberger to head up its UKoffices as regional director sales and marketing, UK, Ireland and Scandinavia.

&#42 Mondial Assistance travel division has made two senior appointments. Jon Cooper becomes underwriting and claims manager and Jeremy Edland joins as business development manager.

&#42 Bass Hotels and Resorts has recruited Gavin Hawthorn as director of relationship marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

&#42 Karl Purviss has been promoted to the position of director of the commerce and finance division of Aptus Personnel. Purviss was formerly formerly regional manager for Initial Office Personnel.
