The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has added a question-and-answer section to its website for travellers concerned about threats from the Basque separatist group ETA totarget tourist areas in Spain. The website is at www.fco.gov.uk.

&#42 rigg quits tourism new south wales role

Tourism New South Wales Europe regional director Stuart Rigg has resigned after four years in the post. Rigg will move to Sydney on May 18 to become a partner in SouthernCrossings, a new company that specialises intailor-made programmes for individuals andspecial-interest groups.

&#42 BA reports £20m losses for march

British Airways lost up to £20 million worth of business last month due to the foot and mouth crisis and the downturn in the US economy. Traffic fell by almost 9% and the loss has also been attributed to a computer glitch during the second and third week of the month. BA warned revenue for April and May could also be affected by the computer problems.

&#42 hunt joins rapid travel solutions

Former Dreamticket.com founder and chiefexecutive officer Lawrence Hunt has joined technology company Rapid TravelSolutions in the newposition of managingdirector. Hunt willwork alongsideoperations director Steve Mountfield and willconcentrate on launching multi-channelled service technology for the travel industry.
