WEB-BASED agency Ebookers.com has doubled sales to £42.3 million
for the first quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2000.
The company’s first quarter results, released today, also
show a gross profit of £4.3 million and a gross margin of 13%, compared to
12.2% last year.
Chief executive officer Dinesh Dhamija described the figures
as “strong” and said Ebookers is still on target to become profitable by the
first quarter of 2002.
