Island update
The Accor Group has taken over the management of Great Keppel Island Resort in north Queensland, and will rebrand it as a Mercure Resort following a £1 million refurbishment. The 192-room resort offers four levels of accommodation, two spas, range of restaurants and bars and a nine-hole golf course.
Daydream Island Resort in the Whitsundays is to be relaunched as the Novotel Daydream Island Resort following a £9 million upgrade and Accor has also rebranded six Fortland hotels in Queensland and the Northern Territory as Mecure properties.
