Commission on domestic flights
The strong pound coupled with Qantas’ new domestic airpass, which is 10% cheaper than its existing Boomerang Pass, makes travel within Australia particularly good value.
The Visit Australia Pass costs from £90 per sector and is available to those flying to Australia with Qantas or a Oneworld alliance partner. Although mostpeople buying seats to Australia are visiting friends and family, the increase in visitor numbers means agents have more chance to sell extras such as accommodation, car hire and tours.
Gold Medal ground product manager Malcolm Archibold said: “A couple booking a trip to Australia would typically spend more than £3,000 and agents would get a very good return on that.”
