Miami Beach

The trendy Art Deco district of South Beach is leading a resurgence of interest in Miami, with many UK tour operators featuring a wide selection of new and renovated hotels in the area. This is boosting summer business to Miami which Pow Wow exhibitors are keen to build on.

Recently opened hotels range from the $100 million, 329-room Mandarin Oriental in downtown Miami, to the renovated Wave Hotel on South Beach, formerly the Lord Balfour Hotel. Each guestroom has a Wave Machine ‘Sound Spa’ which is designed to induce better sleep.

Sports, film making and the music-recording business are also giving a greater celebrity edge to Miami’s lifestyle, which tourism promoters are turning to their advantage. Related attractions include new theatres, music venues and the 20,000-seat American Airlines Arena, home to the Miami Heat NBA basketball team and linked by pedestrian bridge to the fashionable Bayside Marketplace.
