Getting the schedule right
Following your report on developments at the Belle Mare Plage hotel in Mauritius (Travel Weekly April 9), I would like to clarify the exact schedule as there appears to be some confusion.
On December 1, 20 villas will open and a second 18-hole championship course will open early next year.
The Belle Mare Plage hotel will close for complete renovation, using the designers of Le Prince Maurice, inmid-April 2002. However, the villas and other restaurant and leisure facilities, including the two golf courses, will remain open throughout 2002.
The grand reopening of the hotel will be on November 1 2002 and when it will comprise 92 prestige rooms, 143 junior suites, six deluxe suites, 20 villas and a presidential suite.
