SMALL property specialist Eton Town House Group has acquired its first luxury accommodation within the City of London, bringing the total number of properties in its portfolio to three.
The property on Threadneedles Street in the centre of London will be converted into 70 suites in a £70m refurbishment.
The one-year-old company, which has been financed by a venture capitalist group, is positioning itself as an alternative to the large hotel groups and marketing its properties as a home from home. It is targeting the upmarket leisure and corporate market. Its properties, all luxury town houses, are The Colonnade Town House in Little Venice, The Academy Town House in Bloomsbury and Threadneedle Street in the City.
Managing director Peter Tyrie said: “It’s nice to have an alternative to the large chain hotels.”
